Friday Nov. 9th

Well we are still packing up all of the pictures and wall dressing from Christopher's room. We are definitely going home. We thought it was going to be today but they need to get one more round of antibiotics in him before we are out the door. Which is fine, they just delivered the hospital bed today.

The electrician was still at the house finishing up some last minute details with the lift in the garage. We are just about finished with all of that now. Still some minor finish work to dress it up a bit.

I was able to meet the delivery truck and let them in to setup the bed and the Hoyer lift, while Debbie was at the hospital . Not sure if we will even need the lift anymore, we have been able to transfer him by standing him up and pivoting him to the chair or bed as needed.

Once I got to the hospital all of the therapist from Christopher's group were coming in to say their goodbyes and congratulate him on working so hard. Tears were flowing freely from all. Such a great group of people who truly care about their patients and their progress. We thank them so much for all they have been able to do for Christopher. We look forward to getting back there and working even harder.
