Monday July 9 Status Update

Christopher's vital signs remained stable today as well as his intracranial pressure (measures the swelling in his brain) which is a positive sign.

While he is running a fever, this is to be expected and is being treated with antibiotics.

Another central line was inserted today to better monitor his pressures in his heart.

Christopher also had to have a chest tube put in today due to a partially collapsed lung and to drain fluid.

He is breathing much more on his own but is still being helped by the ventilator. This also is positive. He still remains unconscious.

Tonight he is having surgery to repair a tear at the base of his bladder which we hope will aid in his recovery. His surgery began about 8 pm and will last about 3 hours so extra prayers are requested and needed.

Both Debbie and Randy are thankful for all the outpouring of support from family and friends .Thanks for the many prayers you continue to make on Christopher's behalf.

We will continue to post updates as his status progress.
