Sat. Sept 8th

Good day today, Debbie went in this morning and had Christopher up and moving (in the wheelchair). She has been taking him for little jaunts outside and down to the coffee shop on the 1st floor. The different scenery seems to be good.

We were able to take him to the gym today. We have been signed off on some of the equipment, so we can now work with him on the weekends and in the afternoons to supplement his scheduled therapy. The more we can work on stretching and getting him moving the better. It doesn’t take much to get him tired, but he continues to work hard. This gives Debbie and I a chance to hug on him, especially Debbie, she use to chase him around the house, teasing him, trying to give him a hug or kiss. He would call her a freak, and run so she couldn’t get any lipstick on him.

It has been a restful afternoon, we have had several visitors, it was great to see everyone. Lassiter’s Baseball Coach, Scott Kelly, is in the process of setting up a fall tournament in Christopher’s honor, we will post details as they are finalized. We can’t begin to tell you how much we appreciate the continued support, it is incredible the out pouring of love, prayers and offers of assistance. We know this is going to be a long journey, but we know we are not alone. Thank you
