Well we made it to church on time, not sure how, but we made it. Davis was asleep in the basement, I am sure they didn't get much sleep last night, they were out by the fire until after midnight and then playing video games until who knows when. Debbie woke him up twice so he could get ready. He kept falling asleep. Nathan and Michael had gone home around 8am.
Debbie and I got Christopher ready, he looked great this morning in his button down shirt and jeans. He was very alert at church, listening to the choir singing. Pastor Lyle recognized Christopher and the family during the service and talked about what a remarkable change Christopher is undergoing in his recovery. The Lyle's have visited many times during the past several months and have been a great spiritual support for Debbie and I, we thank them for that.
It was great to see everyone this morning, on the way home we made a detour by the Krispy Kreme on Cobb Parkway, Davis ate four donuts plus a small box of the donut holes. Hate to say it, but Debbie, Coleman and I all had a couple of donuts ourselves.
Once we got home we had quiet a few visitors. Tyler Seaman and his mother Kelly stopped by, Tyler was on his way back to school. Marley, her mom Susan and several boys who graduated with Christopher. It was great to see them all, Parker and Spencer Roush, Keegan Corley and Spencer's roommate Josh. Everyone thought Christopher looked great. He was very alert and seemed happy to see everyone.
Is the Reverend Lyle you mentioned Steve Lyle? I would like to come visit next Friday (December 7th). My mom lives out your way and will be keeping my daughter the previous night. I thought since I was in the area I would stop by and visit my most handsome student. Please let me know if that works for y'all. It should be around 3:30. Prayers and hugs always!
