We were awaken by the phone this morning, ADT on
the way to the house to complete the repairs they started on Thursday,
Christopher is sleeping well over the past few days. We are seeing a difference
in his face, he seems to be filling out a little. It is so hard to tell as we
see him every day.
While the ADT technician worked I started getting
Christopher fed. Trying to stay on schedule, time sure flies by during the day.
I hate to be late, it pushes his last feeding very late in the evening. We are
trying to get him in the bed by nine thirty or ten, with his last feeding at
eleven thirty.
We are getting concerned about his right knee, not
sure but it seems to be creating issues with him and causing him to roll his
ankle. This makes it difficult to stand him and transfer him from his chair. We
are going to have to get him another orthopedic consult. As his trach
site continues to close, he is getting more vocal, making different sounds
during the day. Debbie swears he said Mum yesterday.
We got a call today from Campus Sports, I had
dropped off Christopher's letter jacket to have the ribbons added for baseball
just before the accident and forgotten all about it. They were refunding the
charges, someone had asked about it and wanted to pay for it. A little while
later Davis and I were putting Christopher's shoes on when we heard a knock at
the door, at the door stands John McKinney. Now I haven't met John before, but
in he walks with Christopher's jacket, he saw it at the store and next thing you
know he was delivering it to the house. Thank you John, we hope to see you
again.
Davis had basketball games this afternoon, Debbie
went to watch, Christopher and I sat on the couch and watched the SEC
Championship game. What a good game, both teams played well. SEC now on to meet
ND in Miami for the National Championship.
