Tuesday night he slept through the night no issues, thank you Lord. I think he was as tired as I was. Well, Wednesday night even after sessions with Leo and Dr Ellis, after putting him to bed I was folding clothes in the laundry and thought I heard something coming from the front room. Upon entering the room I could see Christopher sitting up in bed, catheter bag in hand, covers in the floor, once again a smile from ear to ear. As I am getting him settled, I see something down near his feet. Oh my goodness, here lays his Peg tube, the bulb still inflated, he has pulled it out. That had to hurt. Well I guess I won’t have to ask tomorrow when we can get it taken out.
Self administered care has taken care of it for us. He has been eating so well and taking his meds by mouth, we were ready to get taken out anyway. DONE!
Two check ups this week, one a follow up from the recent surgery to close his trach site. The incision looks great. The second, a regular follow up visit at the
Saturday Christopher, Davis and I went to the
On the way home we stopped for some lunch. Christopher was so hungry while waiting for his meal he decided to try and eat one of the jelly packets he picked up from a bowl on the table.
Allie and Coleman came to visit with Christopher. Davis had some friends over, Allie and Coleman were the self appointed chaperones sneaking outside to spy through the windows. They were hilarious.
Debbie returned Sunday evening along with a close friend of ours from Australia , Robert Meiklejohn. Robert will be visiting with us over the next several days. He was here last just a couple of months before the accident.
We are all excited about the game tomorrow night; Christopher has been practicing to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Lassiter High School baseball game against Parkview. We hope the weather holds off. Storms are coming.
