Last night Debbie and I had dinner while Davis sat with Christopher. It was a welcome break for both of us. Christopher still hasn't gotten back to his old self, we haven't been able to get a smile yet. Hopefully it will be soon.
Debbie and Davis went home around 9pm we didn't get to sleep until 2 in the morning, he is still running a low grade fever and is nauseated. Bath time 1230am it amazes me why they do this at most hospitals, luckily we were awake anyway.
Today Christopher had his first BM, this is ahead of schedule and also means he can start eating, no more ice chips. I am sure he will have a smile on his face soon.
Debbie was able to take Christopher outside today, he was up for most of the day. He was peddling his wheelchair up and down the halls. He eventually was served a tray, and was able to eat some pudding, ice cream and jello. He got the good stuff first. He soon tried some soup but gravitated to the ice cream. I can't blame him.
9pm Debbie is on her way home, Christopher and I will try to stay out of trouble. He seems to be worn out and is resting well. Keep us in your prayers.
Randy and Debbie- just wanted you to know that I follow your posts daily. Lots of ups and downs lately. Hang in there. Know that we love you and are praying for you. Hope "the pig" brings out the happy Christopher soon! :) VA
