Our Journey To Recovery

Thursday July 12 9 pm

Christopher has had a restful night. His vital signs are stable and his intracranial pressure has leveled off. He continues to run a fever but is on a combination of antibiotics to treat any infection. His kidneys are working well and he is tolerating his tube feedings. His chest tube is not draining much which is good  He did respond to  his mom touching his face; a positive neurological sign. He remains unconscious  but is on strong pain medication.  We hope that as he is weaned off his pain medication over the next few days that his level of consciousness will improve.

We would like to say a special prayer tonight for Ryan Aschenbach and his family.

Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work, or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend the sick, Lord Christ; give rest to the weary, bless the dying, soothe the suffering, pity the afflicted, shield the joyous; and all for your love's sake. Amen.
