Christopher has had a good day, we were able to take Christopher outside
to the front garden twice today, I think he really enjoyed being outside.
Tonight he will go back into the ICU for observation as he will sleep without
the ventilator tonight, one of the next steps to
recovery.
We do continue to hope and pray that Christopher will progress to a full recovery. The fact that he is responding to commands is very encouraging. Even as a nurse, I was having a difficult time understanding all the dynamics of remaining in a comatose state yet being responsive to commands. So I/we have been doing quite a bit of research on this and have a much better understanding than ever before. It is a very complex situation to say the least, and could be caused from a large variety of reasons. We are confident that he is in excellent hands and he will find the path to a full recovery. Prayers are mighty powerful and there are quite a few prayers being said for Christopher every single day.
