Our Journey To Recovery

Sunday October 20th

We were all supposed to be going home today, but Debbie is the only one going home. Her flight leaves just before 5pm.

I had to run to the airport to trade out our car, Hertz wouldn't extend the rental without charging me nearly double what I was currently paying. It all worked out, I was able to get one we should be able to get Christopher and his cast into without to much trouble.

Traffic coming back from the airport was crazy, I95 was backed up for miles people were heading to the Eagles and Cowboys game. Both bridges were backed up. Is seems every street in town is one way so it makes it difficult getting around, especially when you aren't sure where you are going.

This is from my rental car coming out of the airport complex, cars were backed up for miles, heading to see them Eagles baby!
Debbie was helping Christopher with lunch when I got back, his appetite hasn't been affected at all. He is eating everything put it in front of him. Love seeing him eat.

We were able to get him standing a couple of times today, he is doing really well. I will add some photos when I can get to a real computer to download them.

Enjoying his relaxational time with his blocks

Debbie and I left around 2:30pm to get her to the airport, the traffic wasn't near as bad this time. Sad to see her go but she will come back up to help us get back to Atlanta.

Christopher and I spent the rest of the evening watching football, he finally went off to sleep around 7:30. He woke up sometime around 10:30, Lorda his nurse called me, as soon as he heard my voice he started laughing and smiling and was soon drifting off to sleep.
