Sunday Sept. 23rd

What a beautiful day today, Christopher and I spent about two hours outside this morning enjoying the sunshine and cool breeze. The center has redesigned the Koi pond, now with a small waterfall. We sat mesmerized, listening to the splashing water. The garden was full of people, everyone enjoying the morning.

I sit here wondering how much of all this is Christopher really taking in. He loves being around the water, fishing, swimming, boating. He and Davis spend hours out on the lake fishing, they never seem to tire of it. I don’t think either one of them has ever caught anything over a couple of pounds. But boy are they proud of what they do catch. It is always a competition of who caught the most or the biggest. I know Davis is missing his brother.

We are still fighting with the muscle tension in Christopher’s arms and shoulders. The Botox has not had a chance to make a difference yet. Although when you watch him as he sleeps you can see the tension relax in his body. It is a shame the staff have to disturb him during the night with meds and repositioning, we know it has to be done, I am sure he is ready for a long nights sleep without the constant poking and prodding.

The afternoon was full on with visitors, both family and friends. Great day, everyone has been amazed at the changes Christopher has under gone over the past few weeks. It is sometimes hard to see the difference when you see it every day, the changes can be very subtle.

We wish to express our continued appreciation for the thoughts, prayers and generosity as we move forward on this journey. We are overwhelmed by the out pouring of love and kindness shown our family. The Lord gives us strength and you continue to lift us up in his presence.

Thank you
