Our Journey To Recovery

Friday Oct. 12th
Christopher was a little
brighter to day, his pinkeye looked much better and he was resting comfortably;
that was until OT came to see him. CJ had a splint put on his dislocated left
wrist this morning which is really painful and this afternoon with PT he has to
have a splint put on his right ankle to ensure correct position as he is turning
his ankle out due to the pain from his ruptured ACL on his right knee. He really
is having a tough time of it right now. We found out today that his Baclofin
pump is now scheduled for October 23rd so hopefully all the splints will be off
by then. We know all this preventative splinting is necessary but it it so hard
to see him uncomfortable and unable to tell us what hurts.

It is so hard to know that Christopher is experiencing pain in adition to all the recovery work he is engaging in.I know there is nothing harder than to see our children in pain or discomfort - all the strength of our thougths for relief of pain and counting days to the Baclofen pump.
