We have made it through our first two days. We are still experimenting to find what will and won't work as we transition being home on our own. Christopher has been good. We have watched more football than Debbie can stand, but it has been good.
Debbie and I carried Christopher upstairs last night and let him sleep in his own bed. I don't think we will be doing that tonight. He certainly didn't sleep anymore than if he were in the hospital bed. He was awake when we checked on him last night at 1am and at 6am this morning. It was nice for us to be able to sleep this morning and not have to get up and drive to the hospital.
Debbie has been busy today trying to get everything in order. We are still waiting on a few things to be delivered, like the shower chair and we will need to have his bed traded out, this one is just not long enough.
We have been able to get him fed without it coming back up, which is a big achievement. We have got to get some meat on his bones. He sat out on the back deck enjoying the sunshine. The dogs seem happy to have him home. It is very difficult to tell if he realizes where he or not, still not much change in his cognitive ability.
We ask for your continued prayers for his emergence and healing. I know we pull much strength from your prayers. it is what keeps us going
I am glad y'all have gotten Christopher home, and I continue to pray daily for his healing and recovery. I am hoping that being at home will make things better for everyone and promote recovery and better times for all. Just know that all of you are in Johnny's and my prayers. Christopher has a huge support system to help him get through this and I have faith that he will.
