Today we were up and at it by eight
o'clock. By the time we got Christopher fed, cleaned and dressed it was time to
feed him again. Debbie and I were still in our pajamas. Truth be told, I had
just put on pajama bottoms to come down stairs, after getting Christopher
showered, to start breakfast. Sausage, biscuits and hash browns, yum. It was
almost noon.
Debbie has been slowly getting the
house ready for Christmas, I don't think we are going to get too carried away
with the decorations, but Davis and I will put the wreaths up on the front of
the house and work on the lights for the tree. Christmas has always been a
favorite of ours. We have been very lucky, usually having someone visiting at
this time of year. It is always nice to be able to share the
holiday.
Today the ladies from the
neighborhood are coming by to see what all will be involved in sitting with
Christopher. They have a schedule filled through February already, how amazing.
Marcy who is a nurse, came in first, she will be able to give Christopher his
meds and his tube feedings. She came by early to go over his schedule. Everyone
else started to show up around four o’clock.
Marley and Susan stopped by about
the same time and Patrick Holmes came by with dinner and stayed to visit for a
while. Christopher was out on the back deck listening to the radio when everyone
started to arrive. Eventually they moved inside as it started to get dark. It
has been a good day. We are so moved by the continued love and support. Thank
you Lord for the many blessings you send our
way.
Thinking of you today and sending our love. You are always in our prayers.
