We continue to take each day as it
comes, we know the Lord will not give us more than we can handle. We are
faithful he knows us better than we know ourselves. Each time we feel we are at
our wits end we are brought back from the edge by a kind word or action from
you. You all have been a part of this in some fashion. Debbie and I are not
superhuman, we are doing what any of you would be doing for your family if in
the same circumstance. As I have said before, we pull our strength from you,
your support and prayers are what keep us strong. We thank
you.
I had mentioned before Denise
Corcoran has been aiding us in getting home healthcare set up, it seems her
agency does not work with Blue Cross Blue Shield. Hard to believe in this day
and age, BCBS isn't accepted. Anyway we thank Denise for assisting us with the
shower chair, this has been a great help in keeping Christopher from being a
“smelly boy”. That’s Debbie’s phrase.
Kim Hayes has organized a group of
the neighborhood wives as volunteers to sit with Christopher four hours a day;
this will be in addition to the home health nurse, once we get that started.
This will allow Debbie time to work at least a few days a
week.
We have started Christopher on the
fish oil regimen, and have decided for all of us to start taking it. We are
giving it to Christopher in liquid form, through the feeding tube, so he doesn't taste it. The lemon flavoring doesn't mask the true flavor. The rest of us will
be taking the capsules, for sure. Hopefully after a few weeks my spelling will
get better.
