Our Journey To Recovery

Tuesday April 30th
Yesterday afternoon Christopher and I picked Davis up from school and we all went to the movies to see Olympus Has Fallen. Action packed, it was very good and very scary to think something like that could happen.
Today we spent the morning working on the puzzles Larissa brought and tried to reinforce the use of sign language with Christopher. It is really important for us to get him a way to communicate. He is more vocal each day yet still no words.
He lights up when he hears his Nana's voice over the phone and when he sees or hears Debbie. It is so obvious he is in there just trying so hard to be heard. The smiles and laughter keeps us sane. He loves when he gets visitors. Thanks you all for continuing to come by to see and check on his progress.
I wanted to post a flyer Marley Fiveash and her friend Brittany put together to advertise a fundraiser they are staging at YOUR PIE on Crossville Rd. in Roswell, see address below. Please come by and join us for some great pizza. We look forward to seeing you there.

Randy- just wanted you to know that I still pray for Chris daily and I look for your updates almost every day. I wanted you to know I appreciate you posting his amazing progress...even though I don't always/often comment. Much love to you all! VA
ReplyDeleteI too continue to follow Christopher's progress regularly. It is amazing to watch him come back. The brain is an amazing thing and The Creator is even more amazing. A friend recently told me about her brother who suffered a brain injury when he was in high school. He is now in his 50s and leads a normal life with a job and family. She said it was at least a year before he really began to come back. I don't know if that helps but just know all your supporters are still out here and we haven't forgotten Christopher or your family. God Bless!
