Monday May 27th thru Sunday June 2nd

Monday we finally got a chance to get out on the lake. We were supposed to go to the Panosian's lake house yesterday but I was still working on the boat until around 9:00 that night. Hopefully we will get a chance to come to the lake and not have to work so much.

The boys were able to ride the jet ski and fish, Christopher spent time on the dock and finally in the boat. For the most part the weather cooperated we were very lucky with the storms passing by without to much rain.

Tuesday we headed home Christopher had his pre-op visit at Emory Outpatient Surgery, his surgery is scheduled for Thursday morning.

He is becoming more insistent that we are outside. We are establishing an early evening ritual, below is a picture of Christopher sitting in front of the house enjoying the cool evening breeze. The summer heat is just around the corner I am sure.

Wednesday, Debbie and I closed on the house in East Point, hopefully we will be able to get William and his wife moved in before the end of June, still needs a little TLC on the inside before it will be ready.

For those of you who don't know, we meet William at Grady Hospital, his wife had a stroke and was in the Neuro ICU at the same time Christopher was transferred up to the 8th floor. William looked after us and many othe rpeople while he was at Grady as a self appointed ambassador. Even after his wife was transferred to the nursing home William would come back to check on us, nearly every night. While carring for his wife William eventually lost his job and his home, until now.

Well, as we were leaving the closing I got a call from Emory Hospital, BCBS has not yet given authorization for Christopher's surgery. This is crazy it has been scheduled for over a month. Emory asked me to call BCBS to push them get the approval for the hospital. The surgery itself has been approved just not having done at Emory, unbelievable.

In the midst of everything else Christopher and I went back to C.H.Martin to get his AFO (walking splint) for his right leg. It has been a long day.

Surgery has just been cancelled for tomorrow and rescheduled for next week. Looking on the bright side, now we don't have to get up at 5am to get to the hospital by 7am.

The rest of the week not much going on, Christopher is finishing up his therapy sessions, he will be starting the Pathways program Monday morning
