Today we met the Yellow Team, Ruth Ann OT, Sara Speech, Kim PT, Mike the nurse and Kathie our case manager. It was a little overwhelming at first Christopher wanted to be anywhere but there.
He did well with Ruth Ann during the first session, but was not to happy with Sara's little cubicle of and office. He decided he was not going in there, so we took him on a little tour of the facility first. This settled him down enough that he was able to finish his session with Sara.
Most of the time during these first few sessions will be spent on evaluating his level of activity, developing goals and a plan for the future sessions. He was ready to go by the end of the day, and so was I.
When he doesn't get his way he is becoming very vocal and sometimes agitated. He really wants to be outside.

Surgery tomorrow, everything has been approved, finally. 5am ugh!
Emory Hospital Midtown Surgery Center, very nice place. His nurses have been wonderful. Becky Marshall who used to work for me at Piedmont was his OR nurse, nice to see a familiar face and know he is in good hands. Thanks everyone.
Two and a half hours later we were able to sit with him in Recovery. He did great, we were soon on our way home. The swelling has already started, it did get worst. As you can see he is still a happy boy, even with the ice packs.
Robert one of our friends from Australia is flying in today for the weekend. It will be great to have him here.
Christopher's recovery has gone well, he really has only had a few hours of restless sleep. Other then that he has been great. Davis has a lacrosse tournament this weekend, luckily it is here, at KSU. So we will be spending a lot of time at the fields as long as the weather cooperates.
Christopher continues to do well, still looks as if he is storing nuts in his cheeks. He is starting to eat more so his mouth must be feeling ok.
Happy Father's Day
