Sunday July 7th

One year today. The blink of an eye and lives are changed forever.

Ryan you will be forever missed but never forgotten, our thoughts and prayers continue for you and your family. Tyler you are always in our prayers. Please know we are here if you ever need someone to talk to.

The smile

Christopher you continue to amaze us each day, we dream of you walking and talking, doing all the things you love. We are faithful this will soon happen. Your strength and determination will continue to see you through, the Lord is with you each step you take. He will continue to guide us and keep us focused as we continue this journey.

I look in your eyes and know you are there trapped in a body that is yet to respond to the commands you so wish to be able to give. Yet I see the smile that hasn't changed throughout this ordeal, it is what keeps me sane.

And yet the smile remains.

We have come so far, we have cleared many hurdles and yet we still have many ahead. Lord we are in your hands, we walk with you not yet knowing the path. We are strong in our faith, you will show us the way.

  1. It is hard to believe it has been a year but I imagine that it has seemed like an eternity to you. It is such a blessing to all of us to follow your journey and watch the continued miracles in Christopher's life. I have faith that he will continue to improve! Blessings to you all!

  2. Randy,

We have never met but my Mom, Lucille Dermon Alexander is your Mom's first cousin. So, I guess that makes us cousins too. Betty shared the address to your blog with me and I have been keeping up with Christopher's journey this past year. I just wanted you to know that there are a lot of people in the Houston area praying for Christopher since his name has been added to the prayer list at my church as well as the churches of many of my friends. I am in awe of the strength and courage shown by all of you. We will continue to pray for Christopher's recovery and know that in Christ all things are possible.
Thank you for sharing Christopher's journey with us, it has been inspiring to say the least.
