Monday morning Leo came by to visit it was great to see him, he couldn't believe the difference in Christopher's appearance. It has been quite a while since he has seen him.
We are still working with Jenna the speech therapist each Tuesday, Christopher is training on one of the Dynavox communication devices. He is scheduled to receive his actual device in just a few weeks. There is a newer version coming out shortly and we are waiting until it is available. He is so funny, he has found the buttons to get to say he wants to go to the mall, so each time we are going through something he repeatedly finds his way back to "go to the mall". His speed going through the icon like buttons is increasing, the more he sees it and practices the quicker he is.

Here is a picture of the device it can be attached to the wheelchair or held like an Ipad. As you can see personal pictures can be incorporated into the device to personalize it to the individual. It is pretty cool. |
I noticed this Friday morning when I was putting his shoes on, it looks like he has been dragging that foot for miles, so funny.
He loves to see Gary, everything is always so positive Gary has been a great for Christopher keeping him active.
Debbie and I took Christopher to the pool again a couple of times this week. Saturday we were able to get Christopher in the pool between rain showers, We had a great time, he is getting used to floating in the life jacket.
Sunday morning two of Christopher's friends Virgo and Will, from his East Cobb baseball team came by to see him. They were amazed at how well he looked. Virgo will be a sophmore at KSU this year and Will is headed to Georgia Southern, both are slated to play baseball.
Christopher had them sitting with him outside on the lift and then he was adamant he wanted in my car, as you can see in the pictures.
Once he got in the drivers seat he was trying to shift the car into gear ready to go, somewhere anywhere, he was driving. It was amazing watching him, he knew exacting where the ignition was and how to shift the car into gear.
