I hope everyone will please forgive me for falling behind on posting to the blog. We have been busy with school starting, Davis is playing Football again this fall and has also signed up to play fall Lacrosse. With all that he will be seeing Cassie Accurso once or twice a week for math tutoring. She was one of Christopher's teachers during his time at Lassiter.
Christopher will be headed back to Lassiter this next Monday to work with Mrs. Zingler in the classroom, this should be exciting for Christopher. If nothing else it will be a chance to get him out of the house and exposed to a different albeit familiar atmosphere. He has really been doing well probably better than the rest of us.
This week we have had several visitors Susan and Marley, Naomi, and Coleman. Next week I know Matt McGuire will start coming after school to work with Christopher. Matt is a senior at Lassiter and was one of Christopher's teammates on the baseball team. Matt had called Debbie and asked if there was anything he could do to help with Christopher. We are excited to have him here.
Friday night we made it up to the football scrimmage with Pope. What a great night the weather was beautiful, a great crowd and FOOTBALL, YEAH. Thanks Mr. O'Neill for letting us in past the crowd, the line was backed up into the parking lot. It was great to see everyone, we hope to attend all of the home games this year, we are looking forward to a great season. GO TROJANS!
Saturday night Davis stayed home with Christopher so I could take Debbie out for dinner. Davis has really matured over these past few months. It has been fun to watch him finally reach a point where he actually cares what he is wearing to school. He has become JOE PREP. He can still be the teenage slob we all know. But he really is growing up. Wow how time flies.
