Our Journey To Recovery

Friday July 20th
The doctors decided today that they were overtaxing Christopher's system so they have one again cooled his core temperature. They will try again in a few days after he has further stabilized to begin to raise his temperature back up to 98.6 degrees( normal body temperature).
He is currently running a fever and the doctors have taken multiple cultures from several sources to identify the source and to treat the infection aggressively with the most appropriate antibiotic/ anti fungal.
We are pleased to report he got his chest tube out which means his lung has re expanded to normal. His hemoglobin ( which is an oxygen transporter in the red blood cells)is a little low and the doctors will decide if he needs another blood transfusion.
He is more stable than yesterday but his body reacts irritably when he receives too much stimuli. The doctors will try to keep him calm for the next few days.
Let's pray that Christopher has a peaceful night.
